Challenge
Gender inequality in sports is often overlooked or minimized, particularly in how female athletes are represented and compensated. The challenge was to visually communicate this disparity in a way that was impactful, structured, and respectful while maintaining a strong sports design aesthetic.

Goal
Create a poster series that highlights gender pay inequality across multiple sports while
using design systems and visual rules to reinforce the structured frameworks that govern
sports culture.

Approach
Researched three real-world cases of pay inequity across different sports and developed a consistent set of design rules to guide each poster. Each design followed a sport-specific grid, incorporated texture inspired by the sport, intertwined typography with the athlete imagery, included athlete and team identification, and applied gradient maps that visually resonated with each sport.

Solution
Produced a cohesive poster series that uses bold visual systems to amplify the message of gender inequality in sports. The final designs balance advocacy with strong composition and structure, creating impactful visuals that encourage awareness while maintaining consistency across the series.
